Country Piano Shop Visit
Michael Kaufman, along with his father Myles, absolutely love Mason
& Hamlin pianos and Steinways.
They travel all over the country, purchase used pianos and bring them
back to their shop where they
restore them from the ground up! Michael spent 2 hours with us,
on a Saturday night, no less, during
his father's birthday party, to show us around the shop! He gave
detailed explanations on how they
went about restoring each piano. They had many pianos in their
showroom, ready to go out the door,
as well as many waiting for their complete "makeover."
We finally made a choice to purchase
a 1930 Model A, made of Circasian walnut. The beautifully refinished
wood grain piano had been completely
restored and had a new sound board, Renner action, strings, bridges
and pin block. Visiting their
website is a must! Purchasing one of their wonderful pianos is
a great idea, as well. If you should
visit
their shop, please tell them that we sent
you! www.countrypiano.com
