Kid's Playing For Kids
Holiday Recital news

I am so very proud of the work
my students did in preparing
their pieces for this event!  Also,
because of their hard work,
we were able to raise well over
$300.00 for Meskerem and Duhimbaze.
Money is still coming in and so I
do not have the total yet.
Thank you and enjoy the pictures below!

At Play in the Garden of Sound

At last, I am releasing a CD with everyone's favorite classical pieces on it.
It will likely be ready within the next month.
I am putting the finishing touches on it and then I have to send it
away to be professionally duplicated and the graphics printed.
You may pre-order your copy for $10 or purchase my other CD
I am also releasing (What's on My Mind---all original piano pieces)
and get both for $18.

What's On My Mind...

The music on this CD are pieces that I have composed for various reasons.  It's a great CD to introduce children to classical music since the pieces are relatively short and creative.  There are many different sets of compositions.  All have musical scores available.
Here is the back of the CD so that you can see the titles of the pieces.
This CD can be bought for $10 or buy both At Play in the Garden of Sound
and What's on My Mind... for $18.

Something For Every Season

This collection of 12 pieces depicts aspects & experiences
from every season of the year.
There are 3 pieces for each season, each at a different level.

Included with the book is a CD. There are 3 tracks for each piece.
The first track is the performance track that includes
both the piano part and the orchestration together.
The second track is just the piano part.
The third track is the orchestration alone
and is for the pianist to play along with.

From a gentle prayer to a full-blown blizzard,
these pieces are sure to not only have
“Something For Every Season”
but also “something for everybody!”

Enjoy!  They were composed just for you!

To order your copy, see Kim.  Each book w/CD is $12.00.

Soaring Sonatinas & Fantastical Fantasias

These Five Finger pieces were designed to be both exciting
and accessible for the late elementary level student of any age.
The pieces are arranged in a progressive order and help
students transition from the late elementary level into
the early intermediate level.

 Various descriptive terms, dynamic markings,
accents, staccato, legato and tenuto articulations are
used.  As the pieces progress, some finger crossing,
scales, arpeggios and chord inversions are introduced.

The fantasias explore the I, IV, and V7 chords
of each key in a rhythmic and fanciful fashion.
The sonatinas explore changing moods, tempos
and related keys with each movement while introducing
the student to the sonata form on a smaller scale.

I hope you enjoy these pieces!
They were composed just for you!
Each book is $10.00.

Meet Meskerem and Collin!

Dear Parents and students,
Kids Playing for Kids raised $604 for Meskerem and Collin last year!  Great job!

Thank you for your participation in this worthy cause!

Be thinking ahead as to who you will ask to sponsor you for playing in this upcoming recital.
No amount is too small.  This is a great way to use your musical talent!
