The Right Piano

Pianos stacked on their sides waiting to be fixed.

My husband, Alan and I went shopping at the The Country Piano Shop in Burdett, NY. They had many Steinways and Mason & Hamlins for sale.  Some were completely restored.  Others were awaiting restoration.

Michael, owner of The Country Piano Shop, gave up his Saturday evening (and father's 50th birthday party) to help us decide which piano was best for my studio.

We selected a fully restored 1930 Mason & Hamlin Model A and made arrangements for it to be delivered in January 2003.

This well-loved and well-used piano is not just a  beautiful piece of furniture!  Between 35 and 40 piano lessons are taught on it each week!
